De Stijl isn't the real title for Piet Mondrian's painting, but since his painting had no title I decided to name the outfit De Stijl, which was the artistic movement that Mondrian was a part of. It was based on pure abstract and the use of horizontal and vertical lines. I chose a dress and jewelry that had red and blue colors that contrasted between the black lines, which was a key factor to Mondrian's De Stijl paintings.
Inspired by Gustav Klimpt's The Kiss. I added a leaf necklace to represent the wreath of leaves on the man's head in the painting. I also added a light, long yellow skirt to represent what is surrounding the couple.
